To minimize its impact, we seal off work areas using 3M protective plastics and delicate surface tapes, ensuring dust remains contained. If you choose to stain your floors with traditional oil-based stains, be aware that the fumes are highly toxic. Our team uses specialized masks to filter out these chemicals, but for your safety, we require that all residents, including pets, vacate the premises for at least 48 hours after application. Depending on the size of your project, you may need to plan for 48 to 72 hours away from your home to allow the fumes to dissipate. These stains release hazardous airborne chemicals that can pose serious health risks, making temporary relocation essential for a safe refinishing process.

After we are done drying time depends on the product we use, if it is water-based or oil-based. We will advise you on what is best for your floor. Be informed there are pros and cons for each of the products. Expect anything from 4 hours to 24 hours before stepping on the floor again.
